  • Brisque® 5.0
  • Brisque 4.x
  • Brisque serve

Platform

All Brisque platforms

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 4.3.3, 5.2

Symptoms

Communication problems may occur when more than one adapter is defined in the /etc/hosts file on Brisque.

Cause

Only one Ethernet adapter should be defined in the Minimum Configuration option in smit > tcpip. Additional adapters should be defined in Further Configuration.

Solution

To solve this problem:

  1. Logically remove the additional adapter(s).
  2. In smit > tcpip, select Further Configuration.
  3. In Further Configuration, define the additional adapter(s).
