In Brisque 5.x, incorrect devices are displayed in the queue

Product

Brisque® 5.x

Platform

  • 43P-150 (Tiger2)
  • 44P-170—Hammerhead
  • F50—Wildcat (2 and 4 CPUs)
  • 6F1—Condor (2, 4, and 6 CPUs)

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 5.2

Symptoms

In Brisque 5.x, the devices are listed in the mini-queue, but the Device Info window is empty, and a gray window opens when you select Markers in the Resource Center.

Cause

The Exp Java server did not start up at login. The reason for this is because the customer created a hot folder that includes Exp in its name, and the ps -ef lgreg Exp string caused an error in the login script.

Type ps -ef lgrep Exp. The following is displayed:
root 20660 21844 0 09:43:57 lft0 0:00 splr_cog NAME:Lotem_MO_Expose PRINTER:Lotem_MO_Expose KEY:/dataVolumes/brisque13.2.0/MO_Expose/.spooler/key1 TYPE:1

root 23828 21844 0 09:43:57 lft0 0:00 splr_cog NAME:SM52_Expose PRINTER:SM52_Expose KEY:/dataVolumes/brisque13.2.0/SM52_Expose/.spooler/key1 TYPE:1

Solution

To solve the problem:

  1. Rename the hotfolders so that they do not include Exp.
  2. Log out from Brisque software and log in again.
