Directories such as Markers, Screen sets and Excurves can't be used because they appear as NFS volumes instead of local volumes

Product

  • Brisque® 4.1
  • Brisque 5.0

Platform

  • E30—Victory
  • 43P–140—Tiger1
  • 43P–150—Tiger2
  • 44P–170—Hammerhead
  • F50—Wildcat (2 and 4 CPUs)
  • 6F1—Condor (2,4 and 6 CPUs)
  • 6E3

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 4.3.3 or 5.2

Symptoms

Sometimes you can't proof, expose film or expose plates on a Brisque 4.x or Brisque 5.0 workstation because directories such as the markers, IRIS precision color tables, excurves, and screen sets, that should be defined as local are defined as NFS mounts.

Cause

The problem occured when running the Scsismit/Configure Libraries script

Solution

Using Vi, change the file system definitions in /etc/filesystems from NFS to JFS.
