Operating system |
IBM® AIX® 4.3.3, 5.2 |
Symptoms |
The Brisque ModelProperties file for a particular platesetter device name does not exist. As a result, the Device Handling program loads default device properties. This can cause problemsfor example:
Cause |
During device configuration, the Brisque reads parameters from Print Console or Lotem® Controller. One of these is Device namethe Brisque ModelProperties file for that device. Sometimes Print Console or Lotem Controller version is not synchronized with the Brisque version. As a result, the ModelProperties file for that device name does not exist. |
Solution |
Create the ModelProperties file using the pltConfig_con_dlg utility program: Note: Since similar platesetters have similar ModelProperties files, the file of a similar platesetter can be used to create the missing file. In the following example, the Trendsetter® NEWS SA file is missing and a new file will be created based on the Trendsetter NEWS 200 file.
