Operating system |
IBM® AIX® 4.3.3, 5.2 |
||
Symptoms |
Customers are complaining that the NFS copy speed is slow between Mac OS® X and Brisque. |
||
Cause |
The same phenomena occurs on Windows® NFS (SFU) share that is mounted on OSX (tested with OSX versions 10.3.7, 10.3.8, 10.4). This indicates that this problem is not a Brisque issue, but a pure OSX NFS client issue. An additional implication of this problem is that bad .rsrc files are created on Brisque volumes. |
||
Solution |
Since AppleShare® mount on OSX is normally faster, it is recommended to use this type of mount, rather than the NFS mount. | ||
