Error

192.168.61.26 sent an invalid ICMP error to a broadcast

Symptoms

Invalid broadcasts are received from the AIX station on the Brisque 5.0 customer site.

Cause

A problem in the Linux kernel.

Solution

A Linux specialist should execute the following command on the Linux machine. This will cause the Linux to ignore the bogus error packages.
syctl -w net.ipv4.icmp_ignore_bogus_error_responses = 1
or:
add copy the above line into the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file.
