Symptoms

Users experience slow NFS performance (200 KB/s) when copying from a GIGA interface to a 100BT interface.

Cause

Nortel switches, which are used with NFS, perform poorly in a mixed GIGA/100BT environment

Solution

Check with the site administrator about upgrading the Nortel switches to the latest software and firmware levels.
