Sometimes Plate Remake does not work in Brisque 5.x

Product

Brisque® 5.x

Platform

All Brisque 5.x platforms

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 5.2

Symptoms

In Brisque 5.x, the Plate Remake option sometimes does not work because the disk name hostname.1.0 does not exist.

Cause

The application cannot find dataVolumes/hostname.1.0.

Solution

To work around the problem, locate one of the existing dataVolumes—for example, hostname.4.0—and create a virtual disk named hostname.1.0 that will be located in disk hostname.4.0.

Type the following AIX commands:

  1. # cd/dataVolumes/hostname.4.0
  2. # mkdir hostname.1.0
  3. # chmod 777 hostname.1.0
  4. # cd/dataVolumes/
  5. # ln -fs /dataVolumes/xx.4.0/hostname.1.0 /dataVolumes/

The Plate Remake option should now work properly.
