Windows NFS shares are accidentally dismounted in Brisque 5.0.61+Upd 10.3

Product

Brisque® 5.0

Platform

  • All Brisque 5.0 platforms
  • Any Windows® system with Brisque client

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 5.2

Symptoms

Occasionally, Windows NFS shares are accidentally dismounted from the Brisque workstation, and only the mount point /dataVolumes/X.1.0 remains. The Brisque application then sends/copies files to the local "/" filesystem, instead of copying the files over NFS. Eventually the filesystem gets full.

Cause

A problem in the fix_umount.sh script in Upd 10.3.

Solution

Install the fix_unmount.tar.Z patch:

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Download the fix_unmount.tar.Z patch to /scitex/version/scripts
  3. Type cd /scitex/version/scripts
  4. Type uncompress fix_unmount.tar.Z and press Enter.
  5. Type tar -xvf fix_unmount.tar and press Enter. The patch is extracted.
  6. Exit the terminal.

It is important to remember to install the patch on the Brisque after each software installation (cold start and full version).
