You cannot save changes to Job Ticket Global Preferences on Brisque 5.x Mac client

Product

Brisque® 5.0/5.1

Platform

All Brisque platforms

Operating system

IBM® AIX® 5.2

Symptoms

When you edit a parameter in the Job Ticket Global Preferences window on a Brisque Mac client, your changes are not saved.

Solution

Note: Perform the steps in the following workaround on the local Mac client.

  1. Close the Brisque client software and any other software or window that is open on the Mac client.
  2. Open the Terminal utility under the Utilities folder on your system drive.
  3. Select Hide Others under the Terminal menu in the menu bar to hide any open window or dialog box, which may still be open.
  4. On the command line type cd and drag & drop the BClientosx alias from your desktop to the terminal application.
The alias is translated into the path location of your Brisque client software.
Press enter to complete the command.
  5. Type cd config/BClient/ and press enter.
  6. Type sudo chmod 777 defaultParams.ans and press enter.
If prompted for password, type your local Macintosh account login password and press enter.
  7. Close the terminal utility and restart the Brisque client software.

Your changes in the Job Ticket Global Preferences are now saved on the Mac client.
