TSP error 7125 when exposing 1-bit TIFF files from Brisque to Lotem 800, Lotem 400, and Magnus 400

Product

  • Brisque 5.x software
  • Brisque 4.x software
  • Lotem 800 platesetter
  • Lotem 400 platesetter
  • Magnus 400 platesetter

Platform

All Brisque platforms

Operating system

IBM AIX 4.3.3, 5.2

Symptoms

TSP error 7125 appears and the expose fails when 1-bit TIFF files are sent from Brisque to be exposed on a Lotem 800 platesetter, Lotem 400 platesetter, or Magnus 400 platesetter.

The problem occurs with Brisque software version 5.1.32 that does not have Output update_4, and with earlier Brisque versions.

Solution

You need to install a patch that contains two files—cmp1.rbf and cmp2.rbf. These files replace existing files, which are located in /scitex/version/plt_extobj/tsp1.0/byPass/.
Note: Make sure that the Expose operation is not running before you begin this procedure. There is no need to close the Brisque software.

  1. Open an AIX terminal (username root and password ripro).
  2. Save the original files. Type:
    # cd /scitex/version/plt_extobj/tsp1.0/byPass/
    # cp –p cmp1.rbf cmp1.rbf.org
    # cp –p cmp2.rbf cmp2.rbf.org
  3. Download cmp.tar.Z and copy it to a dataVolume.
  4. Browse to the patch location and type:
    # uncompress cmp.tar.Z
    # tar –xvf cmp.tar
