Symptoms

The problem occurs when sending imposition jobs which were automatically rotated to fit the Karat imaging size. The 74Karat atom fails in the store phase and does not copy the job to the specified location. There is no error message, but the job enters the failed queue.
Note: Jobs that are not rotated do not fail.

Solution

You need to install the store_karat patch.

Prerequisites:

• Brisque 5.1.32 software
• Upd_Brisque5.132_Output 5.1.32.4
• Upd_Brisque5.1_RIP 5.1.32.4

To install the patch:

1. Log out from Brisque software.
2. Open an AIX terminal (username root and password ripro).
3. Type cd /scitex/version/progs and press enter.
4. Type cp -p Store Store.org and press enter (to back up the original file).
5. Download Store_Karat.tar.Z to dataVolumes/example.1.0/.updates.
6. Type cd /dataVolumes/example.1.0/.updates and press enter.
7. Type patchinst.sh Store_Karat.tar.Z and press enter. The new files are copied to their proper locations.
8. Type exit and press enter.
9. Log in as cdesci.

Notes:

• Remember to reload the patch after every software installation (Cold Start, Loading Full Version).
• The solution to this problem is now included in the Brisque 5.1 FP Update, which is currently in beta.
