Error appears when migrating Timna to a Brisque Serve configuration

Product

  • Brisque™ Serve 4.0
  • Timna™ 3.0

Platform

  • E30—Victory
  • F50—Wildcat (2 and 4 CPUs)

Operating system

  IBM® AIX 4.3.3

Error

A Problem occurred while processing mngr_DBTemp. For more information check the file /scitex/version/logs/bs_post.log

Symptoms

When migrating a Timna platform with two database disks to a Brisque Serve configuration, an error appears after the  bs_post.sh fails to copy  the logical volume DBtemp.

Cause

The bs_post.sh script copies the logical volume DBtemp from the external installation disk to the Timna database disk using the same logical volume name DBtemp.

This is a known problem, and is under investigation.

Solution

  1. From the Timna platform's command line, type the following command to remove the logical volume DBtemp:
    rmlv –f DBtemp
  2. Run the bs_post.sh script.
