Symptoms

If the FTC (File Track Checker) application is running when you login as cdesesci (Common Desktop Environment CreoScitex), the system does not create the root.locs table in the database.

A database transaction error is then displayed.

Cause

This is a known limitation, and will not be changed.

Solution

  1. Log out from Brisque.
  2. From the AIX command line prompt, run scismit.
  3. From scismit, run the FTC application.
  4. Wait until the FTC application stops running.
  5. Log in to Brisque.

Note: If you run the FTC application after you login, no problems will occur.
