Symptoms

Onbar fails restoring the database after the system was unmirrored.

Cause

The Onbar database backup was performed while the system was mirrored, therefore the chunk /dev/DBRootM did not exist.
If the Onbar restore is performed after the system was unmirrored (/dev/DBRootM exists), then the restore will fail.

Solution

Recover the database in the following sequence:

  1. Unmirror the system disk.
  2. Initialize a new database.
  3. Mirror the system disk
  4. Load Onbar
  5. Recover the database.
