Kodak® InSite™ Variable Data Print 3.0 |
||
Platform |
PC |
||
Operating system |
Microsoft® Windows® |
||
Symptoms |
You have installed and configured an InSite Variable Data Print system, but the TwAm Processor (Prinergy® Evo) will not start. | ||
Cause |
The TwAm Processor (which processes uploaded files) is enabled only when Variable Data Print, Projects, and one or both of Libraries and Tasks are licensed for the system. If neither Libraries nor Tasks is licensed, the TwAm Processor is not enabled. When the TwAm Processor is disabled, only files of a type not normally processed by the TwAm Processor (.gif, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .tif) appear with standard thumbnails in the Images view of Variable Data Print. Any file types that must be processed by the TwAm Processor (for example, .eps and .ps files) appear with generic thumbnails only. |
||
Solution |
This is the intended behavior. The TwAm Processor is not enabled in a Variable Data Print system unless one or both of Libraries and Tasks is also licensed. Even if you reboot the Variable Data Print server, the TwAm Processor will not start. If you start the TwAm Processor manually, it will still not be used by the system. This is intended, so that the TwAm Processor does not use up server resources by running when it is not needed. |
