SYS 2007/06/06 16:00:03 #### Program shutdown

Cause

Since Apple constantly brings out new product codes for their monitor displays, if an unknown product code is encountered, the MV cal routine fails.

The product codes that Kodak supports for Apple Cinema displays are:

  • Plastic 20": 37401
  • Metal 20": 37405, 37410
  • Metal 23": 37407, 37411
  • Metal 30": 37408, 37426

For Eizo displays, we use the model (a string identifier). We are able to do this because Eizo brings out a new model when they discontinue their older displays.

Apple, on the other hand, does not distinguish between the different models of their Cinema Display monitors.

Solution

Only use approved monitors with supported product codes (see the list above).

Note: The latest list of supported product codes is in the Matchprint Virtual 5.0 Release Notes, posted on the Reference page.
