Please attach a hardware key before entering a password.


Symptoms

When you attempt to enter the password in Pandora from the Help > Password menu, a message appears, prompting you to attach a hardware key before entering a password, even though the dongle is plugged into the machine.

Cause

Pandora may be installed on a machine where the USB controller has been deactivated. This is probably the case if you installed Pandora on a server.

Solution

From the Setup menu during startup, activate the USB controller. If you are unsure how to do this, call the Response Center for assistance.
