Bleeds Are Lost When Assigning New Artwork

Product

Pandora® 2.0

Operating system

Macintosh® & Windows®

Symptoms

When you replace an artwork and snap the new artwork to the die, the bleed paths are lost. This can be problematic when edits have been made to the bleed path to resolve overlaps and other issues.

Cause

The bleed paths are redrawn when a new artwork is snapped to the die.

Solution

To prevent this from occurring:

1. Before you remove the old artwork, use the Bleed Path tool to select the path.

2. Copy the path (from the Edit menu, select Copy).

3. Delete the artwork.

4. Place the new artwork.

5. Paste the bleed path into the new artwork.

If you are running Pandora in Intergrated mode with Prinergy, you can bypass these steps by just reassigning a new artwork from within Workshop. The bleed paths are retained in the layout.
