Some Static Text Characters Overlap in Label Marks in Pandora’s Output [ID: 80740]

Product

Pandora® 2.5

Operating system

Macintosh® & Windows®

Symptoms

When certain label marks are bound to die stations and printed to PDF from Pandora, the static text appears to be “bunched up,” with some characters overlapping.

Cause

The marks are created using tracking or kerning in the illustration application.

Solution

Modify the mark in the illustration application, removing any tracking or kerning.

Note: To disable kerning in Macromedia® FreeHand®, you must place the cursor between each pair of letters and set the value to 0. You cannot select and adjust all the letters at once.
