Symptoms

When you output PDF or a Prinergy job ticket with the dieline embedded, Pandora appends the die file name to the dieline ink name; for example, Dieline_Hungry_Cat_Carton_1.

Cause

Change made in Pandora 2.7.

Solution

If you want to revert to the behavior of earlier versions of Pandora, add the parameter Print.AppendDieFilenameToDieSpotName to the defaltuser.properties file and change its value to be false.

1. With Pandora not running, use a text editor such as Notepad^® or TextPad^® to open the defaultuser.properties file in the Pandora folder.
2. Type Print.AppendDieFilenameToDieSpotName=False.
3. Save and close the file.

You can also change the dieline name to be something other than Dieline. To change the dieline ink name to a new name:

1. With Pandora not running, use a text editor such as BBEdit or TextPad to open the defaultuser.properties file in the Pandora folder.
2. Type Print.DieSpotName=(new name).
3. Type Print.AppendDieFilenameToDieSpotName=False.
4. Save and close the file.
