Pandora is extremely slow to start


Product		Kodak Pandora^® 2.9.5 and earlier

Symptoms		Pandora takes several minutes longer than usual to start. Simple actions such as dragging a press sheet into the job or importing an artwork are extremely slow, often taking a full minute or more.

Cause		Pandora repeately tries to contact a server on your network that it cannot reach, forcing you to wait for the process to time out. Most often this is caused by a server that has been turned off or removed from the network.

Solution		Remove any network connections to servers that your desktop computer cannot reach. To remove network connections on a Mac^® computer: Drag the share from the desktop into the Trash. To remove network connections on Microsoft^® Windows^®-based computers: Open your My computer window and check the list of mounted drives. If any of the drives have a red slash through it, your computer cannot contact that remote computer. Right-click the share, and select Disconnect. This stops Pandora from attempting to contact the remote computers.
