Platform overview

Kodak PressProof software runs on Apple Mac computers with the Mac OS operating system. In PressProof version 5.0, the following new features are added:

• Job selection
• Viewing of individual versions in a Prinergy Layered PDF Version (LPV) job

Product description

PressProof is the Kodak monitor proofing solution for the press room. It has the following configurations:

• PressProof for Prinergy shows the Prinergy Connect jobs and imposed surfaces. The surfaces are RIPed using the Prinergy output process to the exact resolution of the final monitor, and displayed in PressProof. The color target is set either using InSite Prepress Portal (if present) or by placing a control text file in the job folder.
• PressProof for non-Prinergy workflows show already RIPed surfaces (TIFF files) within a folder hierarchy. The color target is set by placing a control text file in the folder hierarchy. Color control files are inherited in the folder hierarchy; the color target cannot be set using InSite Prepress Portal. The TIFF files can be any resolution, but the recommended resolution is the exact resolution of the monitor.
