Prinergy Workshop overview

Viewing the Workshop Log File | Increasing the Log Details | Editing User Preferences | Re-prebinding the Application

Viewing the Workshop Log File

The Workshop log file is <username>.Wshop.log, and is located at:

To see what's happening without looking in the log file, open Console on the Mac computer: Applications\Utilities\Console.

Increasing the Log Details

If the information in the log isn't detailed enough, increase the details by performing the following steps:

  1. Back up the Login.props file. For example, make a copy called Login.props.original.
  2. Open the Login.props file in a text editor and make the following changes:

  3. UWSP.CORBADiagnosticLevel=2
    UWSP.Log.LogToFile=1
    UWSP.DebugLevel=1
    UWSP.IdlOpTrackerDebugLevel=2
  4. Delete the current <username>.WShop.log.
  5. Start Workshop.
  6. Reproduce the problem.
  7. Review the <username>.Wshop.log.

Editing User Preferences

The user preferences file is <username>.props, and is located at:

To change the default visible columns for a new user, replace the <username>.props file in one of the following ways:

Re-prebinding the Application

There are some unconfirmed anecdotes that re-prebinding the applications on the Mac computer can eliminate non-reproducible Workshop oddness. This seems like a long shot, but you may want to try the following steps:

  1. On the Mac computer, select Applications\Utilities\Terminal.
  2. In Terminal, type sudo update_prebinding.
    A message appears asking for the administrator username/password.
  3. Close Terminal.
