DCS files to Taipan RIP.

Connectivity

1-bit screened DCS data from Prinergy to Agfa Taipan RIP v3.01.

Performance

Good, although for reasonable performance, the Taipan RIP should have 768 MB RAM and 500 MHz CPU.

Usage

In full production since November 1999.

Limitations

• Cannot gang up separations (i.e. output pages from different separations or different jobs on the same piece of film).
• Customers should send DCS files to the Taipan RIP. There has been some success with Postscript, but RIP errors occur occasionally, so this method is not yet been qualified for sale.
