To set up a process plan that will enable the customer to output a file from Prinergy to the imagesetter's RIP, follow the procedure below:
In Prinergy, open the Process Plan Editor.
In the Output To: field, select the output type, usually DCS Raster (Low resolution).
- JTP field: select the high-resolution proofing JTP for the customer's 512 MB proofing device.
- Resolution X and Resolution Y fields: select the dpi. Set the resolution to the resolution of the output device.
- Device Path field: enter the device path to the hot folder on the imagesetter's RIP.
- DCS File Format field: select DCS2 Multiple Files.
- DCS Compression field: select CCITTG4.
- You can also choose to send a mirrored or negative image to the imagesetter's RIP by checking the Mirror Print box or the Negative Print box.
Normally, these boxes remain unchecked; when the customer wishes to create a mirrored or negative print, rather than selecting Mirror Print or Negative Print, the positive output file can instead be sent to a hot folder on the imagesetter's RIP that is set up to create a mirrored or negative print.
