After many months of pain and agony among worldwide Prinergy/EPSON users, this RIP has been put on the red list; it is now officially disqualified for use with a Prinergy system. If you are a sales person in the Creo organization, you are not allowed to sell Prinergy to a customer who has an EPSON with a Fiery RIP. If you go ahead and sell Prinergy connectivity to a Fiery/EPSON configuration, you will most likely earn the undying hatred of the customer. The field app who is doing the Prinergy install will hate you. I will hate you. Poodles walking down the street, when they see you, will run over and bite you on the ankle.
In short, don't do it. Convince the customer to either use the direct connection offered by Prinergy, or use a BestRIP.
