Overview

A Prinergy server is available for remote field people to use for practice with the latest version of the Kodak^® Prinergy^® software and to become familiar with new features. The online training server is kept up‑to‑date with the latest Prinergy release.

Server name: Prinergy-Play
Current version installed: Prinergy 4.1

Important: Do not use this server for customer demonstrations. Its only purpose is internal training.

Connecting to the Training Server

Use one of the following methods to connect to the Prinergy online training server:

• Download the Prinergy Workshop client software to your local computer and run it across the VPN network (this is the method that customers use):
1. From your computer, mount the Prinergy-Play server's WkshpInstll share.
2. Locate the appropriate installer for your operating system and double-click it.
   Note: The installation of Prinergy Workshop may take 10 to 30 minutes, depending on network speed.
3. When the installation is complete, start Prinergy Workshop.

User name: PrinergyOperator
Password: Creo1234
(You may use your own user name and password.)
Server: Prinergy-Play
• Use Remote Desktop Connection or Terminal Services Client to log on to the Prinergy-Play server.

User name: ARAXI (You may use PrinergyOperator.)
Password: Creo1234
• Use VNC to connect to the Prinergy-Play server. This is not a preferred method, because while you are using the server, noone else can use it. Use it only briefly and expect to be bumped by someone actually sitting at the keyboard.

Sample Files

You can find sample files in the following locations:

• A selection of files are on the training server at D:\Jobs\SAMPLE_FILES.
• The complete set of files are posted on TechPlanet:
  Prinergy Connect Activity Practice Files.
  (These files are intended for use with the Prinergy Connect Activity Guide.)

Organize your jobs under your name. The Prinergy Product Development team may delete jobs that are older than two weeks to ensure there is enough space for all users.

Important: If you use the Rules Based Automation (RBA) feature, do not create system‑wide rules. They may interfere with the activities of other users. Only create rules that apply to jobs.

Troubleshooting

If problems occur, troubleshoot and fix them. This may include starting or stopping JTPs, restarting Prinergy, and restarting the server. Keep in mind that your actions may interfere with other users.
