Solution

This workaround should be used only when you need to extract customer Archiver tables (dbcs_archive, dbcs_archivefile, dbcs_archivemedium) for analysis.

=================================================

FOR PRINERGY 1.1 PROCEDURE (export from 1.1 and import into 1.1 system)

To export Archiver tables from the database:

1) RCMD into the customer's system.

2) S:\>type <exp80 araxi_1_0_12/araxi> to login to export utility

Export: Release 8.0.5.1.0 - Production on Fri Mar 31 11:20:10 2000

Enter array fetch buffer size: 4096 ><ENTER>

. . exporting table DBCS_ARCHIVEFILE 17236 rows exported

Export terminated successfully without warnings.

3). Zip the exported file.

D:\>cd temp

D:\Temp>zip expgiethoorn.zip expgiethoorn.dmp

adding: expgiethoorn.dmp (deflated 84%)

4) Exit RCMD session and copy the file over.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you import the archiver tables to another database, you need to trancate all the data on the existing 3 tables. If not, it will combine the export data with the existing data.

To import the Archiver tables into another database:

1) Extract the ZIP file to d:\temp directory.

2) Go to dos prompt, type <imp80 araxi_1_0_12/araxi> to login to Import Utility
