The FilterEventlog utility is a DOS command program to extract tape driver (aic78xx and qutmdlt) data from the Event Viewer. It saves time when going through all the logs to locate the tape driver data. This utility works for both NT4 and W2K. You can get the filtereventlog.cmd in the Related Links section, below. 1. Copy the filtereventlog.cmd to the Prinergy server that is connected to the tape device, \\Prinergyhome%\creoaraxi\support\bin folder. 2. RCMD into the system. 3. Type "FilterEventlog > filename.txt", this will save the output onto a text file. 4. Exit RCMD. 5. Copy the text file over and open with Notepad to examine the tape driver event logs.
