To inject/eject a tape using an ATL tape library, such as an ATL 4/52, 7100, or P1000:

Running Prinergy 1.1 on NT4:

To inject a tape using Archiver Media Manager:

1) Using Archiver Media Manager, right-click Physical Locations and select INJECT. This sends a signal to the ATL tape library to access the door.

2) Inject the tape into the ATL tape library.

- If it is a 4/52 or 7100, press the OPEN button on the front panel to open the I/O slot, then inject the tape into the library. You can inject up to four cartridges at a time.

- If it is a P1000, press LOAD PORT on the LCD display, then inject the tape into the library. You can only inject one tape at a time.

3) After inserting the cartridge, close the door.

- If it is a 4/52 or 7100, press the CLOSE button.

- If it is a P1000, push the door closed.

To eject a tape using Archiver Media Manager:

1) Using Archiver Media Manager, right-click the medium that you want to eject and select EJECT. Archiver Media Manager displays the message, "Remove medium 'xxxxxx (in slot x)' from library 'library0'".

2) Remove the tape from the ATL tape library.

- If it is a 4/52 or 7100, press the OPEN button of the I/O slot, then remove the tape.

- If it is a P1000, press the LOAD PORT on the LCD panel to open the I/O slot, then remove the tape.

3) After removing the tape, close the door.

- If it is a 4/52 or 7100, press the CLOSE button of the I/O slot.

- If it is a P1000, push the door closed.

Running Prinergy 2.0 on Windows 2000:

To inject a tape using Removable Storage Management (RSM):

1) In RSM, expand Physical Locations, then right-click the library and select INJECT. A Media Inject Wizard appears.

2) Select the slot and click Next. This sends a signal to the tape library to open the door for access. Once the library is ready to access, Messenger Service prompts you to open the door.

3) Open the door.

- If it is a 4/52 or 71000, press the OPEN button on the front panel to open the I/O slot.

- If it is a P1000, press the LOAD PORT on the LCD panel.

4) Once the I/O slot is open, insert the media into the tape library. You can inject up to 4 cartridges at a time for the 4/52, but only one at a time for the P1000.

5) After you insert the cartridge, close the door.

- If it is a 4/52 or 7100, press the CLOSE button to close the I/O slot.
