Symptoms |
After system is upgraded from 1.1 to 2.0, some Prinergy archiver tapes showed up as "Idle, New". You cannot archive or retrieve any job on the tapes. |

Cause |
During RSM registry migration from 1.1 to 2.0, somehow some tapes did not recognize properly as Prinergy tape. | |

||
Solution |
Stop and Restart PArchRet JTP, the status of the Prinergy archiver tape will change to "Idle, Allocated." If the tape still shows as "Idle, New", check the Archiver Database Reports, the tape does not contain any Prinergy archive job on it. Permanent fix: |
