Symptoms

When trying to archive or retrieve, it failed to mount medium into drive.

Cause

Solution

NOTE: The total tapes (including tape in the drive and in the slots) inside the library must not exceed the capacity of each tape library.

For ATL 2/28, you can only fill 24 tapes.

For ATL 4/52, you can only fill 48 tapes.

For ATL P1000, you can only fill 16 or 30 tapes.

For ATL 7100, you can fill 100 tapes.

For ADIC Faststor 7, only 6 tapes with barcode reader.

For ADIC Faststor 22, 22 tapes with barcode reader.

For Qualstar 4212, you can fill 12 tapes.

For Qualstar 4222, you can fill 22 tapes.

For Qualstar 4280, you can fill 80 tapes.

For Qualstar 44120, you can fill 120 tapes.

For Qualstar 44180, you can fill 180 tapes.
