Solution |
There is a registry key in \\hkey_local_machine\Software\Creo\Araxi\Default\Settings\Archiver called ExcludeFiles that you can add the files or folders to not archive and purge. The exclusion list is like a path, entries separated by semi-colons (";"). Directories are indicated by "\..." appended to the end of a name. File names are case sensitive. Specify as little or as much of the path part of a file name as you want. A directory name is taken relative to the job folder. Optional attribute specification is of form :attr_chars and can include H for hidden, S for system, optionally preceded by minus ("-") to indicate absence of the attribute. An attribute specification applied to a directory entry mean files in the directory must match those attributes, not that the directory itself must match. Errors in an entry cause the entry to be ignored with a warning in DIAG. Remember, the actual default for the exclusion list is an empty list - i.e. no change in behavior from before this feature existed. I think a reasonable "standard" exclusion filter would be: ".DS_Store:H;System\SubPageThumbnails\ThumbCache\...;Thumbs.db:SH" (assuming that is the ThumbCache directory we have had trouble with). This will not archive and delete on purge the files left around by the Mac OS X finder (.DS_Store), anything in our ThumbCache folder, and the thumbnail cache used by Windows XP (Thumbs.db).
