Solution

To inject/eject a tape using a Qualstar tape library:

To inject a tape using Removable Storage Management (RSM):

1) In RSM, expand Physical Locations, then right-click the library and select INJECT. A Media Inject Wizard appears.

2) Select the slot and click Next. This sends a signal to the tape library to open the I/P slot to allow you to inject the tape into the library.

3) Follow the Media Wizard prompts to finish the procedure.

To eject a tape using Removable Storage Management (RSM):

1) In RSM, expand Physical Locations, click Media, right-click the tape you want to eject, and select EJECT. A Media Eject Wizard appears.

2) Select the slot and click NEXT. Follow the wizard, it will send a signal to the tape library to eject the tape to the I/O slot.

3. Remove the tape from the I/O slot.

4) Follow the Media Wizard prompts to finish the procedure.
