Symptoms |
When you are archiving or retrieving a job, sometimes there are many warnings that the recovery threshold of the AIT-3 tape drive is above the limit. |
Cause |
The threshold settings for the AIT-3 drive read/write were incorrect in the Kodak archiver. The existing threshold was based on the DLT drive. The DLT write limit is 50/GB, but the AIT-3 limit appears to be 1000/GB. The read limits are similar (12/GB vs ~11/GB). |

Solution |
There is a temporary solution. Set the registry key to avoid too many warnings from Archiver: \\hkey_local_machine\Software\Creo\Araxi\Settings\Default\Archiver, SoftReadErrorThreshold = 11 SoftWriteErrorThreshold = 1000 SoftErrorWarningToErrorMultiplier = 10 IF the keys do not existing, create the key using DWord values. This problem is expected to be fixed in Prinergy 4.0. Permanent fix: |
