Solution |
If a system has EPM+ with VSR, a network disconnect may happen while copying files from a Mac OS X client to a server running VSR 2.11. This is discussed in Microsoft KB288301 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/288301 Unfortunately Kodak no longer has support for VSR 2.11. Possible workarounds are: 1. Install VSR 2.11 SP3 HF9: http://techplanet/software_solutions/workflow_software/prinergy/content/troubleshooting/PSAO-0000133.htm. 2. Change registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters\IRPstackSize from 12 to 20. 3. Restart the servers. If the above procedure does not clear the problem, try the following: Instead of copying the files (from the OSX client) to the failover server, copy them to another server and access the files from there. If the customer is not running Prinergy archiver, they can use AFP to copy the files to the failover server. If none of these solutions work for the customer, you may need to replace VSR with DoubleTake. NOTE: For any EPM+ (with VSR) system with jobs homed on the failover server, there will be problem transferring files from a Mac OS X client machine to the failover server job volume via SMB. If the job homing is on a tertiary server and there is no need to transfer files to the secondary server, the system can be configured to use SMB. Permanent fix: |
