Symptoms |
Prinergy stops and you cannot submit any tasks. You need to restart the system. |
Cause |
JobTicketCreator has a problem creating multiple tasks when it restarts. | |
Solution |
1. Do not submit multiple tasks when the system restarts. Submit only one task the 1st time, then you can submit multiple tasks the 2nd and 3rd time and so on. 2. Update the registry key \\hkey_local_machine\software\creo\araxi\defaults\systems\JTKT\JobTicketCreatorTimeout to 7200000. You may have to create the key if it does not exist. 3. Restart PJobTicketCreator.exe to allow the changes to take effect. It will then restart only every 2 hours, instead of every 10 minutes. This problem is fixed in Prinergy 3.1.0.3. Note: This workaround is only good for minimizing the problem. If the problem occurs, you can manually stop PJobCreator.exe and PTaskD.exe then submit one task after PJobCreator.exe restarts, and submit multiple tasks afterwards. You don't need to restart Prinergy. Permanent fix: |
