Error |
Normalize Error: FILT_LZWTable: Maximum Table size exceeded (missing <CT> code in stream?) while performing normalizing for file: |
Symptoms |
A Barco PDF created by Barco PDF2.1 Out Module fails to Normalize. Files that worked in previous versions (2.2.1.7 for example) will no longer Refine in Prinergy 2.2.1.9 or 2.3.1.1. |
Cause |
The LZW decode algorithm was changed for the latest versions of Prinergy to more closely follow the Adobe specification. Previously, the algorithm did not follow the specification as closely and worked OK. This issue is under investigation by Creo and Adobe. | |
Solution |
Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and save out PostScript. The resulting file will Refine OK. Refined files need to be checked carefully, as this method could have an impact on transparencies and flattening. Permanent fix: |
