Symptoms |
***Applies to Prinergy 1.1; and 2.0 Connect, Direct, Powerpack, and Satellite, depending on licensed configuration.*** Virtual Proofing System (VPS) application will not start when you double-click a VPS file stored on a UNIX folder. |
Cause |
Macintosh file/creator types are not retained when you write VPS files from NT to UNIX. | |
Solution |
To set up VPS on a Macintosh: 1. On the Macintosh, open File Exchange. 2. Select the File Translation tab. 3. Click the Add button and browse to a VPS file on a UNIX volume, then select the Creo VPS application from the list of installed applications. 4. Check Translate documents automatically 5. Uncheck Always show choices when translating files 6. Uncheck Include applications on servers in translation choices Note: This procedure does not work when Photoshop is also installed on the Macintosh. In this case, open the VPS files from within VPS or create a VPS shortcut on the desktop and use Drag and Drop. Permanent fix: |
