Symptoms |
When using Digital Blueline with Prinergy VPS output, Digital Blueline printed output has the wrong page number order, fronts and backs don't match, or the page number in the slugline doesn't match the image content expected for that page. When the output is two-up, Digital Blueline prints some pages by themselves instead of two-up. The Digital Blueline debug log shows error messages of the form, "Two-up printing, Page 999 on signature 999, couldn't find page to the left." This problem occurs most commonly when making two-up, duplexed output, but can sometimes occur with one-up, non-duplexed output. |

Cause |
This is found to be a bug in Prinergy VPS imposed proof output. When the imposition contains more than one signature, page numbers written into the VPS files are wrong. Digital Blueline depends on correct page numbers, so it gets confused. Digital Blueline is the only Creo application that depends on page numbers in the TIFF preview files. VPS and CPS are not affected. |

Solution |
There is no workaround for this problem. A Prinergy 1.1 patch to fix this is being prepared, and should be available in a couple of weeks. Permanent fix: |
