Unstuffing MacPlugins directly on the Primary using MacOS 10.1 creates invalid files

Product

  Prinergy Connect 2.0

Platform

Operating system

Error

Used a Mac with MacOS 10.1 to mount AraxiHomeData and used StuffitExpander 6.5.1 to expand the MacPlugins.sit and save the folder directly on the Primary.

Result is that the TrapEdit file has NO version in <Get Info> and Acrobat does not recognize it during startup.

Symptoms

TrapEdit file has NO version <Get Info> and Acrobat does not recognize it during startup

Cause

Solution

1) Use a Mac with MacOS 9.x to mount AraxiHomeData and use StuffitExpander 6.5.1 to expand the MacPlugins.sit and save the folder directly on Primary.

2) Workaround for MacOS 10.x: Copy the MacPlugins.sit to the local disk and expand it from there.

Result is for both cases that the TrapEdit file DOES have a version and Acrobat recognizes it as expected.
