Symptoms |
When submitting an Archive with Verify, the process history says that it had processed 373.751.808 bytes. This byte count is identical for the actual archive and for the following verify step. Now when submitting a Purge on this job it reports the deletion of 373.328.547 bytes. The complete jobfolder has been deleted successfully. |

Cause |
Purge deletes files and adds up the space those files take. Archive/Verify archives files but also puts a catalog and headers on the tape. That is why the archive/verify count is larger than the purge count. | |
