Workshop update fails when Acrobat it not installed

Product

  Prinergy Connect 2.1 ; Prinergy Direct 2.1 ; Prinergy Access 2.1 ; Prinergy Powerpack 2.1 ; Prinergy Satellite

Platform

Operating system

Error

Prinergy Workshop client auto updater fails to locate the Acrobat plugins folder.

Symptoms

When trying to update Workshop, the updater fails and the update button remains available.

Cause

Acrobat is not installed on the client machine.

Solution

Run the Workshop update again, after installing Acrobat on the client machine.

If you do not intend to install Acrobat, you can manually disable the Update button by renaming 2.1.new.ver file to match the Prinergy version on the Prinergy server, eg 2.1.0.5.ver

The 2.1.new.ver file can be found in the following folders:

Prinergy Server: D:\Prinergy\CreoAraxi\cau

OS 9.x - Applications:Prinergy Workshop:Contents:Resources:cau

OS X - Ctrl-click on the Workshop application and select show package contents, then navigate to Contents:Resources:cau
