Error message: E 07Dec99 14:46:16.796-UTC [331.635] ANNAPURNA IRL_PrinergySrv PSpoolServerD.SubmitJob635 iSPLS_SPLSImpl.cpp(1695): CORBA system exception catched by SubmitJob10204-- No implementation available

Hotfolders for jobs stored on a secondary server will not work. When you drop the files into the hotfolder, they will be moved into the job's System\InputsFolder directory but the file will not show up in the Input Files pane in Workshop and will not be processed. You will see the following error message in Diagview: E 07Dec99 14:46:16.796-UTC [331.635] ANNAPURNA IRL_PrinergySrv PSpoolServerD.SubmitJob635 iSPLS_SPLSImpl.cpp(1695): CORBA system exception catched by SubmitJob10204-- No implementation available - The server is not currently active (Has the BOA function deactivate_impl or deactivate_obj been called?) [Completion status : COMPLETED_NO]

To reproduce the problem, create a job on a secondary server and enable the hotfolder for it.

Cause

Solution

In Prinergy 1.1, the default is to have all job daemons (JobD) run from the Primary server. The location of where job daemons can run is controlled by the registry value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\1.0.12.BLD169\Default\System\JobDaemonNodeList If they registry value does not exist, the primary server is the only server that can host job daemons. The database records which server the job daemon for that job was run on. Thus, whenever a job daemon is started for that job it will select the same server. To fix this problem, we must do two things: 1) Change the database to have JobD run on the server that contains the job folder. In a DOS window, run the following for each job that resides on the secondary server and uses a hotfolder: PChangeJobShare -z JOBNAME -n SERVER e.g. PChangeJobShare -z "993634_DEPL_HISTOIRE_DE_DESSOUS" -n EVEREST Note: Use uppercase letters for the server name and retain the case for the job folder name. 2) Add the secondary server to the JobDaemonNodeList value in the registry on the PRIMARY server. In REGEDT32, add and/or modify the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Creo\Araxi\1.0.12.BLD169\Default\System\JobDaemonNodeList If the registry value does not exist, create it as a REG_SZ (string) value. Add the primary and secondary servers that contain job volumes to the list. DO NOT add render stations to this list, as they should never contain active job volumes. DO NOT add tertiary servers to this list as hotfolders are not supported on tertiary servers. Each server name should be separated with a semi-colon (;) and should not have embedded spaces before or after the server name. e.g. JobDaemonNodeList: REG_SZ: ANNAPURNA;EVEREST

This problem will be fixed with a patch to the Spool Server.
