Symptoms |
Error message: font installation daemon xxx terminated abnormally (xxx = three digit number). Pagemaker 6.5 files (PC) with Illustrator EPS images in them. When attempting to load the fonts into Prinergy the folder won't open and the font installer daemon crashes. This is because the EPS font scanner in Pagemaker 6.5 will recognise and record any font in the EPS ie: font, space, stroke etc. |

Solution |
In Pagemaker 6.5 go to utilities -> plugins and select EPS font scanner. It is defaulted to on. Turn it off and resave files. Permanent fix: |
