How does Prinergy work with DCS files? |

Solution |
1. If the DCS file is a "whole page", simply add the master file to the job (not the individual plate files) and refine as usual. The Normalizer will recognize the DCS input file and convert it to a separated PDF file automatically. Prinergy supports DCS1, DCS2 multifile, and DCS2 singlefile formats for this. Note that with Prinergy 1.1, users cannot use DCS1 or DCS2 multifile formats with hotfolders; DCS2 singlefile works ok with hotfolders in Prinergy 1.1. singlefile and multifile DCS work with hot folders in Prinergy 2. 2. If the DCS file is placed in another application, you can use the OPI engine (in the Normalizer) to merge hirez into it. Note that you must print separated PostScript and this will result in separated PDF. 3. There is a special case of (2): certain DCS files can be re-composited when used with Prinergy OPI merging into composite thin PS. See the related workaround for the conditions. Permanent fix: |
