Symptoms |
When trying to launch the Prinergy Help from the NT server's Start menu, Internet Explorer doesn't come up. No warnings and no dialog boxes appear to explain the problem. |

Cause |
After upgrading hardware or software on an Araxi server, it's common to reinstall NT SP3 in order to make sure that you have the latest version of all files that may have been changed by the h/w or s/w upgrade. However, IE4 installs files which are newer than those in NT SP3. Those files need to be conserved during NT SP3 installation, otherwise IE4 will fail to run. If you tell NT SP3 to overwrite the newer files, then IE4 may fail to run after the SP3 installation. |

Solution |
When you re-install SP3 (after IE4), keep all of the new files installed by IE4. Don''t ask the SP3 installer to overwrite the newer files. Permanent fix: |
