Symptoms |
Output on a composite proofer (Hewlett-Packard) is only one color. Instead of 4-color output, you only get one (usually cyan). |
Cause |
This problem was discovered at a customer site that reported very strange output on an Agfa Sherpa. However, this problem can also be encountered on any proofer that takes in HP-RTL files from Prinergy. Three conditions are needed for this bug to manifest itself: 1. Your input data is separated, as opposed to composite. 2. You are referring to an ICC color profile in the Prinergy process plan. 3. You are referring to an imposed process plan, instead of a loose-page process plan. |

Solution |
Don't use an ICC color profile for output to an HP plotter. Use a Harmony calibration curve instead. Permanent fix: Prinergy 2.0 |
