Symptoms |
No matter what you do, back-ups on the BARCO Impress are always one half-inch out of register. Worse yet, the back-ups are occasionally IN register even though you haven't changed any settings. |

Cause |
If you are working on trying to create back-ups on a Barco Impress or Impress 2000, you have a high chance of running into this bug. There is a firmware bug in the Barco Impress. Basically, if you send the front and the back of the imposition one after another, that is to say, if you end up with two files in the NT print spooler, you will end up with a half-inch shift. This problem only occurs with some Barcos. |

Solution |
If you send the front of the imposition and wait until it has finished printing, and then send the back of the imposition, you won't get the half-inch shift. Apparently there is a firmware fix that has been applied to the latest shipment of Barcos, but it is not known if the fix can be applied to older models of the Impress. Permanent fix: |
